Hello, my name is Alex Sharp, I am known as THE GLOBAL PREDICTOR.
In 1985, I wrote a letter to the Soviet KGB and the US Embassy in Moskow, sharing all the details of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster and proposing to rescue the crew by launching the shuttle unmanned.
On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger disintegrated 73 seconds into its flight, killing all seven crew members on board. The spacecraft broke up 14 kilometers above the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 16:39:13 UTC.
The mission, designated STS-51-L, was the 10th flight of the orbiter and the 25th flight of the Space Shuttle fleet.
STS-51L was the 25th flight of the Space Shuttle, the tenth mission of the shuttle Challenger, which ended in its destruction after liftoff. The spacecraft was launched on January 28, 1986, from Launch Pad 39-B at the Kennedy Space Center. The explosion occurred 73 seconds after liftoff, disintegrating the shuttle and causing the cabin to plummet into the Atlantic Ocean at high speed for 2 minutes and 45 seconds, killing all seven crew members.
